Sin is before all else an offence against God. A rupture of communion with him. At the same time it damages communion with the Church. For this reason conversion entails both God's forgiveness and reconciliation with the Church, which are expressed and accomplished liturgically by the Sacrament of Penance and Reconciliation.

Confessions are held on Saturdays at 9.45-10.15am (Sacred Heart church) and at 5.15-5.45pm (St Antony's church).

During the seasons of Advent and Lent we have Penitential Services at each church during which several priests are present to hear Confessions: details are in the Newsletter.

There are also Confessions during the monthly Arise Bristol healing service (3rd Friday of the month) at Sacred Heart church.

For children (who have made their First Confession and First Holy Communion) at St Bonaventure's primary school and at Our Lady of the Rosary primary school, there are Confessions during Advent and Lent.

Confessions can also be heard by appointment. Please contact Fr Colin or phone him on 0117 962 0676.
